My kids are in bed, my husband is running to the store to buy ice cream (his craving not mine) and for some reason I felt like blogging. We recently bought and moved into a new home-which is twice as big as what we were living in. I love it-it is just nice to have a place for everything. We also have some emptyish rooms and I don't really even care about that. I love having the space. It seems like there is always something to do however. Cody and I got to the end of the boxes today (hopefully) and now there is just finishing painting/touch ups and hanging pictures. Not to mention the "things" that keep popping up that we have to go buy. It is worth it, and now I just hope that Cody and I can make it look good-I have never really cared about how my house is decorated until now-and we are completely in charge of our yard-and I have to weed! After pulling out a few yesterday I found it a little more satisfying now that it is my house and not my parents. Hopefully my inner Martha will kick in soon. Until then here are some pictures of Max and Layla. Those two keep me busy enough, with Layla hitting herself in the eye with a chair she was using to climb up and push the buttons on the tv-and Max who had to have a root canal on two of his front teeth only to have one of the"fake" teeth fall out a week later. That was traumatic for both he and I....that is a completely other story! I love my kids very much and I love that they are playing more together lately. Even if that play is more chasing and tackling. I used to always think it was instigated by Max, but as I sat and watched them play last night I was surprised that is was all Layla. I'm a little scared for the many adventures ahead with that girl....who can open my front door and thinks it is funny to run down the street. Ok I better stop...I could go on and on about her-it may be therapeutic for me, but I will stop!

| Disneyland once again. I think this is when we were waiting for our escrow to close, which was SOOO frustrating and so we were depressed and decided to head to D-land to play for the day. |
| Max has a great imagination lately-he was being a pteranadon this night (for those of you not in the know, as far as I can tell a pteranadon is what we older folks were told is a pteradactyl.) |
| Layla loves this horse-probably because she is obsessed with Toy Story and Jesse who she refers to as either yee haw or eee hoooo (the end of her yodle). I frequently find her on this horse wearing Cody's straw sombrero hat he wears golfing...another fun one....and yelling yeee hawww! |
| I couldn't not put these on....seriously she cracks me up! |
| We need to get some real horses so she can be a real cowgirl...we might have to move again in order to do this. |

For Max's birthday we took him to Disneyland and I told him that we would buy him a toy-which we never do. I thought this would be a fast activity because he is always asking for the toys at Disneyland. However, once he knew he could pretty much have whatever he wanted he was a very conscious shopper. We looked in stores for about an hour and he couldn't decide on anything-I finally remembered he is always asking to get his face painted and suggested this to him, and he decided this is what he wanted. He LOVED being a tiger-he was pretty much a tiger the rest of the day. It was just kind of sad when he had to wash his face later that night-he keeps asking to buy face paint so we can make him a tiger again. I don't know if we have the same tiger making skills but Cody is pretty confident.
I will put up pictures of our new house soon-I just found my camera today so I can actually take some...hopefully I will be more motivated to hang pictures soon. |
