I had good intentions of keeping up with my blog better this year...so far I am failing miserably. However, since I somewhat conned Cody into making dinner tonight I figured it was a good time to attempt some catching up! In January we got to go to two BYU basketball games. One of the great things about them switching conferences is that there are many So Cal teams, which is fun. The first game was against Loyola Marymount which is right by the coast, so we headed down early so the kids could spend some time on the beach.

| After being in Utah and snow for Christmas, both Max and Layla decided they needed to make some "sand" angels. |
Here are a bunch of shots from Disneyland. It is our go to entertainment....and yes we recognize how completely spoiled we are. They have this thing at Disneyland called Jedi Training. They call up about thirty kids, give them a robe, and a light saber to use. Then they go through some moves for the kids to learn. Once all the kids have somewhat mastered the moves Darth Vader, Darth Maul and some on the White guys (haven't seen star wars in a long time) come out and all the kids get a turn to either fight Darth Vader or Darth Maul. Max was SO excited-he was the very last kid picked out of the crowd and while he was waiting to be picked he almost had an anxiety attack. It was so fun to watch him up there-he loved every second-and you could tell that he was having a hard time containing his excitement and had to keep his big smile under control.

| I love the BYU poking out of his Robe-you always have to represent! |
| I would add video of him fighting, but I'm not really willing to figure out how to do it. He got to fight Darth Vader and once he was finished fighting him they also had him do the Jedi push on the white soldiers-he thought he was pretty dang cool after that. |

| Layla is a good little sister and does enjoy Star Wars, but her heart is all girl-we are starting to have to wait in the loooong princess lines-but it is worth it! |
| They turned Tom Sawyers island into a pirate island. The kids and I went one day without Cody and spend at least an hour over there. It is nice because there are trails and caves for the kids to explore and it isn't crowded. Plus they love it. Here is Max on the pile of treasure we found. |
| Waiting for the boat back to the main land-and eating oranges....gotta keep those two little tummies full! |
| Cute little Max....he is growing up so fast. |
| Like I said earlier-Layla is the perfect little sister. She can be a transformer and a princess all at the same time. |
| We are attempting our hands at a garden this year. After talking about making one non-stop for about a month Cody finally made one just to shut me up! So far I have little peas coming up and some beans and corn planted. I am crossing my fingers that we will have some success. I really just need more room for the gardening plans I have! |
| SNOW! My kids were soooo excited. And lets be honest, so was I. There is something so fun and pretty about snow falling. I could watch it all day. It snowed a good inch or two over night, but it was all gone by the next day! |
| A shot of my boy Brandon Davies at the BYU game verses Pepperdine. The gyms of these schools are so small, we get to sit so close to the players which is kind of fun. At Pepperdine you got to walk right behind the basket. It was crazy-and made me a little giddy to be so close to the players! |
| I have two cougars in training-they love going to the games-we can't wait for next year! |
