Memories

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! Since this is our family blog, feel free to leave a memory about any of the three of us.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. :)

Oh, man there's nothing quite like the memories of our first job at the pool in the middle of the school with the pipe, working for the best boss ever, Judith F., watching the adventures of "Whales Tales" and "Water, The Deceptive Power", scrubbing the deck with that nasty skin burning cleaning chemical solution, blasting the music from Top Gun to trying to stay awake while life guarding, teaching lessons to snot-nosed kids that say "don't go under" ever time we practice jumping off the wall, and we can't forget about Martin... Oh, I loved practicing CPR on him!

I remember how much fun the Halloween murder mystery dinner was! Your costumes were a hoot!!! And going to Music Makers every Wed. I really miss that. And I remember having pizza at your apt with Amanda and all our kids. It was a lot of fun to have a girls night out. I'm sure we'd have more if we lived closer. :) Heidi

I remember the Chinese Cindarella play from Mrs. C's third grade class in which you were Cindarella and I was an evil step-sister. I remember we helped your dad milk the cows once, and I got covered in manure and we had to take a bath together (don't worry we were very little girls at the time). Then there was playing Mission Impossible with Stephanie Beer in ninth grade and the D.I. Girl's Day in high school, and of course sleeping through Draper's AP U.S. History class. I will never forget getting an Allsports Pass with you freshman year at BYU and sitting on the front row of the famous BYU/Utah football game when the entire stadium stormed the field after BYU won. Too many memories to write, all of them were fantastic!

Where to start, skating (Cody at Skate plaza), jumping off Tubb's Hills doing flips, skiing (water and snow)the time I lost the van key at lookout and we got pictures on the rail or you doing a backflip of the kicker and the jump exploded because your head went through it. Peter Frampton and some lesbo ladies. Pole Vault and the broken pole. (I've still got that somewhere). Everytime I think of Linolieum, I don't think of flooring, but rather breakdance. But seriously, what kind of dorks would put linolieum in your truck and take it every or your friends ask "Who has the linolium?" The backflips. I'm in the Stake young mens and I did/taught the six step to a couple of guys. I thought about the backflip but the time Caleb let go and I landed on my head came back to mind. Telling people spontaneously to go, do the backflip. Volleyball at seminary. I could just keep going but I've got to go. Sorry.

Katrina's out of town and she does the blog so memories will have to wait.

Well, I have many a fond memory but only one that I carry with me everyday---my chipped tooth.
So everyone knows the movie IT right? Spooky clown show and and the scariest part is when you see the scary sharp clown teeth covered in the blood of the neighborhood children.
Well I used to love to torture Laura by chasing her around with my IT teeth bared. On one such occasion I was chasing her inside of the seminary building where there happened to be a glass window seperating the office and the hallway. She was in the hallway I was in the office and I must have miscalculated how far away I was from the class because as I did my classic IT face my front teeth clanked against the glass and it chipped off a tiny morsel of my front tooth. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard! Needless to say I am very cautious when I do my IT face now and I think that the chip just adds to my character. Thanks for the memory Laura!!

I don't think I can pick just one....
A few oldies, but goodies are playing in the cottonseed, calling 1 800 tampon, tubing down the river on the dirt road, and having the four wheeler break down on us in Garff Ranches. A few newer ones are when we were roomies and both saw each other naked while changing into our suits, eating our gourmet college meals together (white cheddar mac n cheese and canned beans), and driving around in the beast white truck. Remember when we would go flying through that dip in the road by foxwood? So hilarious, but what in the heck were we thinking? We could have killed someone! Good times. Wish we could have been roomies longer. Love ya!

I also remember mission impossible in middle school, and going to your house for lunch almost everyday in HS, and our girl's day date when we went hiking in Aspen Grove, and you telling me about your older man crushes...funny stuff.

Ok. So remember when Allen decided to "teach us a lesson" by locking the hatch door to the roof while we were ON the roof of the pool? We had no way of getting down- so we had to get all James Bond-ish and climb down by Mr. Hayes classroom. That was pretty scarey. I almost fell! Allen we such a jerk! Darn custodian.

Its kind of hard to just think of one memory with you since you were there practically my whole growing up life. But its also fun to take an opportunity and try to think of some of the good old days - memories we don't often think of. Like grandpa reading us stories in his old chair with one of us on each knee, endless days of playing in the playhouse, begging to be pushed in the tire swings while the cows were getting milked, playing with the baby calves, and always with baby kittens. Using the barbie house as a house for kittens, running the fields, our trip to Texas with grandma and grandpa, fighting in high school always about what else - clothes, oh and those hot twins that were on our plane when we flew into the Ontario airport to visit David - remember that? feak - that was fun. Anyway, way too many memories, I know. But we had it good.
