Durango

Cody has been working the past few weeks down in the Durango and Cortez area, which is too far for him to drive down and come home in one day. Since Max and I were tired of being left at home we decided to go with him and see the sights. We didn't really see much of Durango since Cody was working so much while we were there, so we hung out in the hotel room but we did go swimming at the Rec. Center there which was really nice. Max loved it-he just kicked his little feet the whole time he was in the water and he kept splashing one of his hands, ruining any hopes I had of keeping my hair dry.

On Friday we went home through Cortez and stopped at Mesa Verde which was neat-Cody got to maneuver all the ladders with Max strapped onto the front of him, which Cody did like a professional ladder climber. Also on the way home we went through Moab and stopped at the high school to watch my cousin Marc play football. South Summit killed Grand, the high school in Moab, 35-0. Marc had a great game including an interception. It was possibly my favorite part of the trip, summer is short of sports to watch so once September hits, watching football is pretty much the best thing ever!

Max showing off his sitting up skills in the hotel.

Swimming with mom-he had a hard time looking at Cody with the camera because there was too much other stuff to look at-plus out camera had a hard time focusing on us because of all the movement in the water, so these pictures aren't the best.

The water all over my hair and Max's face is purely from him being a little splasher!

Cody forgot a hat, so he was sporting the baby blanket bandanna look to save himself from the sun.
